VONSCH solution - turnkey
Compensation is controlled directly from the billing metering. The RC-RS control system processes pulses from two billing meters through galvanic isolation and sets the reactive power of both converters according to the instantaneous demand.
We supplied two NEXICONTROL 400 050 COMP active compensators, 100 kVA in total, with a shared control system and reactive power metering. Control is continuous and bidirectional - the converters both supply and absorb reactive power as the instantaneous demand requires, without steps and without passive capacitor banks. Each converter controls within a range of ±50 kVAr. The IP55 units place no demands on switchroom space.
The control system sits in a separate RC-RS enclosure rated IP65. It communicates over Ethernet and RS485 through a Modbus gateway, operation is visible in the web visualization, and the equipment is accessible for remote management and service without a site visit.
