VONSCH solution - turnkey
The machine consists of seven asynchronous motors, four of which are controlled by vector frequency converters. The whole machine is controlled by a Vipa control system. The drives maintain constant carpet tension across the entire working speed range. Roller synchronization and carpet-tension control are handled via the SETX communication protocol from the control system. The machine is operated from an operator panel that also carries a text display linked to the control system; the operator enters the carpet-serging parameters on this panel. One of the first carpets this machine serged was the red carpet for Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, used on the occasion of her visit to Slovakia in October 2008.
