The electrical part of a mining traction locomotive: two 75 kW asynchronous motors controlled by a vector converter fed from a DC trolley line; a control system for hydraulics, cooling, control and monitoring, with synchronous control of two coupled locomotives from a single cab.

VQFREM 400 The electrical part of the mining traction locomotive is solved using two 75 kW asynchronous motors controlled by a vector frequency converter fed from a DC trolley line. The locomotive's control system handles the control and diagnostics of all electrically controlled parts — the hydraulic system, the cooling system, and the control and monitoring elements — and also enables synchronous control of two coupled locomotives from a single cab.
