The material transport speed of the screw feeder is regulated according to the power load of the mill drive. The output of the programmable process PID controller block in the UNIFREM 400 002M frequency converter is the desired frequency of the screw-feeder drive. The frequency converter's process controller takes feedback from the measured output current of the SINAM 400/191 soft starter, and the desired soft-starter current — i.e. the permitted power load of the mill-drive soft starter — is set with a potentiometer on the UNIFREM 400 002M converter. The smooth start of the mill drive is provided by the SINAM 400/191 soft starter.
