UNIFREM 400 E
UNIFREM 400 E is the latest generation of small dimensions frequency converters family. UNIFREM 400 E is made for 3 x 400 V supply, available up to 3 kW. All UNIFREM converters allow high-performance scalar (V/f) control. UNIFREM 400 E drives are designed to solve most of drive problems in the industrial applications. The family is specified by its user-friendly settings and control, users are guided by the graphic display. The latest generation of MITSUBISHI power electronics has been used for minimization of losses while allowing higher switching frequency. Grid disturbance is kept to a minimum.
Key advantages
High fault resistance
Built-in protections against overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuits, earth faults and thermal overload. The power stage is designed for long service life.
Minimal impact on the grid
Three-phase input commutation chokes and EMC filters ensure low harmonic distortion per EN 61800-3 and EN 61000-6-4.
Minimal losses
Modern Mitsubishi and Semikron power modules deliver high efficiency. Optimised switching frequencies reduce losses of both converter and motor.
Advanced vector control
Speed, torque and position vector control for both induction and synchronous motors. High-quality scalar V/f control for standard applications.
Rich software feature set
AI-based features, built-in PLC functions, a wide range of communication interfaces and intuitive setup via the UNIPANEL graphic display.
Compact dimensions
UNIFREM 400 is designed to fit into space-constrained cabinets without compromising rated performance or cooling.

Output motor chokes are used in case when the distance between the converter and the motor is higher than 100m (non-shielded cable) or 50m (shielded cable).
Cable capacitance effects are eliminated by the motor choke or sine filter.
Sine filter filters the output PWM voltage of the inverter to the sine wave of variable frequency and amplitude.
This will limit the peak current and capacitive motor insulation stress. When using the EMC sinus filter, it is not necessary to use the shielded cable.
It is necessary to set the switching frequency of IGBT power elements to at least 4 kHz, when using the Sine filter! Technical data
