Characteristics and advantages of SINAM
Smooth start-up and catch-up
The SINAM 400 enables the gentle starting and stopping of asynchronous motors by gradually increasing and decreasing the clamp voltage using phase control, ensuring smooth and controlled start and stop.
Precise control with DSP
The DSP microprocessor, together with torque waveform modelling based on current, voltage and power factor measurements, enables near-linear motor start-up and coast-down, optimising performance and protecting the device.
Wiring flexibility
Customers can choose between a classic (mains – softstart – motor) and a DELTA configuration, with internal current measurement eliminating the need for additional thermal protection of the motor.
Mechanical advantages
The use of a soft start reduces the torque, which eliminates shocks in the mechanical system, extends the life of the clutches and eliminates the need for star-delta switching.
Electrical advantages
The SINAM 400 reduces the inrush current to a set level (2.5 to 4 times the nominal current), minimizing wear on contactor contacts and reducing the number of switching devices required compared to traditional star-delta start-up.
Rich standard equipment
The device features 32-bit DSP control and a three-digit LED display with setpoints, programmable binary and analog inputs and outputs, allowing for complex configuration and the ability to cascade control of multiple motors.
Energy efficiency and diagnostics
The SAVING ENERGY functions of power optimization, voltage boost setting at the start of start-up and display of key parameters (current, power, input, mains frequency) ensure efficient use of energy and allow detailed diagnostics of the motor status.
Wide application possibilities
Designed for 3 × 400 V asynchronous motors with power ratings from 3 to 500 kW, the SINAM 400 is ideal for controlling the starting torque of fans, pumps, conveyors and other applications where it is necessary to control a motor with a higher starting torque than the required starting torque of the mechanical system.
Standard equipment
Control by 32 bit DSP
32 bit DSP control, built-in three-digit LED display with adjustment elements
Softstart current limitation
The softstart current limit is set to 5 times the nominal current of the In softstart.
